The Firm

Cris Dunning established CA Dunning Consultants in 1979 specialising initially in construction related design and construction programming. The firm quickly expanded into all areas of Structural Engineering and Design. Adam Thornton joined the firm in 1986 bringing considerable experience in multistorey design.

In 1989 the firm moved into South-East Asia and is now involved there in the management and design of major commercial and residential projects.

During the last ten years the firm has steadily expanded and currently employs 13 Engineers, 16 Draughtsmen and 6 Administrators. With the 2 Directors the firm has a total staff level of 28.

The firm currently has offices in Wellington, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

In 1993 the firm gained wide recognition for its innovative engineering solutions used during the relocation of the 3000 tonne Museum Hotel, in Wellington.

In 1995 the firm achieved ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Certification.
